Aqua Power Cutting, Inc. was recently contracted by the military to manufacture a gun turret mount assembly that would be placed on a Humvee military vehicle. This product needed to work in difficult operating environments and have the ability to withstand extreme vibration, high heat, and high particulate conditions. This gun turret mount also needed to be corrosion resistant.
To meet these requirements, we constructed this assembly using extremely durable, 5,000 series strain-hard enable aluminum alloy material. Using our precision flow water jet machinery with 60,000 PSI cutting pressure, we cut the turret mount to final dimensions, while maintaining a tight, (+/-) .01 of an inch precision tolerance. The assembly measured approximately 4.75 inches in overall length and height, 1.5 inches in thickness, and weighed approximately 36 ounces.
Meeting both MIL-STD standards and high client expectations for quality, we manufactured a gun turret mount for the military using our precision water jet cutting technology. After production was complete, we then delivered this product to our client's facility located in San Antonio, Texas. |
